The guy running this auction listing is claiming that most of his Beanies are 2nd gens, but what little can be seen in his pictures are all later tag generations. He's also claiming these were owned by his two children, but that they're all "Near Mint".
Even if you give the guy the benefit of the doubt there though, he's made the rookie mistake of trying to sell something on eBay without letting anybody see what he's selling. <sarcasm>Because, you know, we totally get the idea that we're getting a decent collection of real Beanies and early Beanies in good condition from a picture of the side of a plastic storage tub. </sarcasm>
Whether this listing is legit or not, I can't imagine that anybody would want to deal with someone who is so bad at listing things on eBay and so costly in the shipping department. (And of course, this joker will probably complain afterwards that his kid's beanies aren't worth anything, because the parents never admit it's their fault when they don't make a million bucks...)

Do you really think 71 beanies weigh 150 lbs? Shipping to my house would cost $150.41. That's $2.13 a bear. I pay $1.66 for commons at the flea Market.

I think it's safe to assume that somebody who's not willing to take pictures for an eBay listing isn't willing to use a scale for an eBay listing either.
The bins themselves probably would add a bit of weight too, though...
