I recently came across a used Spot without a spot at a Goodwill store. Normally I'd go straight to looking into having this sort of find authenticated, but this one is really dirty and I'd like to try to clean it more before I send it in. His hang tag is missing but the 1st-gen tush tag looks great condition-wise.

I'm wondering what the rules are for Spot without a spot so that I can stop trying to clean him if he's a definite fake.

Spot No Spot can come with a 4 line Korea tush, 5 line Korea tush or a China tush. All 1st gen black/white dated 1993. Be very, very careful on the 5 line Korea & China tushes. They were heavily counterfeited. Also be careful of resewn tushes.
