Aw ,finally have power back on after huge ice storm .About 36 hours without power.Thank God for the fireplace .3.3 inches of rain Monday night all while surface temps hovered around 31 degrees .Falling trees and downed power lines were the worst of it ,but what a HUGE mess.still 10,000 without power in Reno county.Kids have been out of school and will be again tomorrow..i am investing in an electric generator next chance i get.Like i said the fireplace saved us ,many others not so fortunate.Good to be back up and running.

You're back and survived the Ice. Do you think this could be the reason MaryAnnes also been missing all week? I think she got snow and not ice. But she does lose power with a wink of an eye.
All we get is rain.... I was pleasently surprised this morning when I didn't have to dodge rain drops.

Well if Maryanne lives around these old elm trees like around here. Those trees ,you can look at them and they will drop branches. We are getting snow today and supposed to go through tomorrow.Power was out today for a couple of hours. There are so many limbs still hanging on lines around town. What a mess.Conflicting reports but between 5000-6000 still without power here.My 13 year old girls B-day is Monday and we are "supposed ' to celebrate tomorrow night.Awgh you gotta love winter NOT. LOL

She got snow and ice...so far the power has stayed on. She's been down with cluster migraines and trying to not get behind on Christmas. We're suposed to get some snow this weekend....I'll believe it when I see it.
