Good job taking the woman to court. I hope you get your money back. And if you took offense at the snicker, then I am sorry. We see many listings of sellers who "inadvertantly" use other people's photos to hide the fact that they are selling counterfeits. We also see a lot of people who simply cannot believe that they could possibly have a counterfeit. And then there are the ones who DO know, and who hope to at least recap their losses by passing them on. The honest sellers are harder and harder to find. I can't say anything about ebay's enforcement of rules and regulations, what I see is lackadaisial, at best, but there isn't a whole lot that I (or anyone else on this board) can do about it. Everyone on this board is here because. at one time or another, they purchased a counterfeit. Kind of sad, isn't it?

Like people on this board say - Know what you are buying or whom you are buying from. Think Authenticate! and ask questions.

I understand your, and everyone else who's been in this position, frustration. It's so hard to know the honest from the deceitful anymore. It's very sad....
I'm sorry if I sounded harsh earlier. It's more being upset with myself for not knowing what I should have and not being given 'benefit of doubt'. You would be shocked if you knew what some people were saying to me. So I'm sorry I let out the brunt of my frustrations on you. Generally I research to an annoying degree! Smile I'm so angry at the lady who sold them to us. I didn't pick up on her deception soon enough...but that's ok. She doesn't need to answer to me now, she has to explain it to the judge. I hope it ends up favorable for me.
I'm learning more every day about beanies and I'm hoping some are authentic. I spoke with pbbags this morning and they were very helpful. I'm getting a box ready to ship to them now and shortly I'll have my answer.
Thank you for understanding. I'm truly sorry for being rude....I guess I just wanted people to know it wasn't intentional Smile
Thanks again,
Kell

Sorry that you were offended by some messages you received but Beanie collectors are sick of getting ripped off by fake Beanies. You admit you received several messages informing you the Beanies were fake yet you did not end the auctions.

The purpose of this board is to try to help collectors avoid buying fakes. If you list a fake, you'll get listed here.

I don't know how you "accidentally" download someone else's auction pic to your computer and then upload it to ebay. Seems in all those steps you would notice your "mistake". I'm glad you realize this is not the thing to do.

I hope you do have some real Beanies. There are always collectors looking for the real deal.

First thing I want to clear up.....the people who were interested in those particular beanies asked if I would keep the listings active. I would've ended them in a heartbeat! I corresponded with many 'collectors' and shared the information I was getting via email. It was with the understanding that at auctions end the beanies would be sent in for verification/authentication. I wasn't hiding anything nor trying to rip anyone off. This post says it all....

[quote]I hope he paid with paypal as I'm sure he got an email from ebay saying he didn't have to pay for the Humphey beanie. It takes ebay a while to remove auctions with stolen pictures which is why I think it was removed, although he did put pictures of the actual fake tush tag before the auction ended.

If I had 'gotten caught' do you really believe I would have uploaded those pictures? No, I wouldn't have. As for you, or anyone else for that matter, 'not understanding' how I 'accidentally' uploaded that picture, you don't need to. I know exactly how I did it and I resolved the issue with the pictures owner. Mistakes happen, what you take away or learn from the experience is the important part.
I understand being frustrated, but it doesn't give ANYONE the green light to be vulgar, degrading or disrespectful to me because of another persons deception.
All collectors want a good deal and hopefully I will be able to offer you a few. I'll know in a few days......
Regards
