Hi, is anybody as confused as I am?
I started collecting (and I use the term loosely) with my neice, now she's in college and wants me to keep her babies safe, dorm room way too small. To make a long story short, I'm attempting to get all my beanies in one house, one list, and one room even. Moving in with my mother to take care of her. e-bay training is my sister's on going contribution. I realize i need a LOT more knowledge. counterfiets?, the amount of books, lists etc. is daunting. I have a Warman's bean plush field guide 04, and that's it. From reading the comments, there is a new book, better book? web sites with info? I'm not the most skilled 'surfer' and if anyone can aim me in the right direction for information, (not stores, not auctions), I would appreciate it. The many zillion responses to Yahoo and Google searches is mind numbing. any help will be appreciated.
confused in wet, dreary wisconsin.

I bought the Ty Beanies Tracker 3rd edition for general beanie info. Ms Janies collectors studio, true blue beans and peggyg are also good places to find info.
I'm not sure if we can post the web sites, you should be able to find them with the name.
I hope you can find what you're looking for.

You have taken on quite a daunting task!

There is alot to learn. Beanwatcher is an informational news site.
Only registered users can see links on this forum!
Register or Login on forum!

- on the left hand column of his page are links to a lot of good beanie babie sites. He has them categorized by type, so no excessive surfing is necessary.

Also, aboutbeanies.com has always had a trememdous amount of good information. Marie is no longer going to update the site, but all of her past information (unclusind tush tag info, etc) is great.

Good Luck!

Hello Cookie2,
I have one of the "larger" collections of Ty products in the U.S. and so far my most valuable reference for all things Ty has been the paperback book Ty Beanies Tracker, Third Edition, edited by Karen Holmes. Once you purchase the book somewhere, you can go to Karen's Internet site and purchase updates. Karen probably ranks among the top 5 most knowledgeable people about beanie babies in the world. If you need quick informatioin about a beanie and don't have a good book, check out stashmatic.com. The site is a bit slow, bit it is turning into the premier site on the Internet for current information about Ty products. Karen Holmes also has a lot of input and involvement at stashmatic.com

One word of caution; don't take the estimated values in any of the printed guides too seriously. Most values are so inflated they are laughable. Good luck with your beanie learning experience.
