I lived under a rock for so long that I lack information on certain beanies. I would love to know more about this one since I have seen several different varieties of the dog that was exclusive to Japan. For its value, it has to be made of highly valuable materials, correct?

Brown Paws & Pink Paws came out at the same time. They are really cute and floppy. You had to spend 5000 yen at the Kitamura store to get the brown one. The pink one was received via a drawing. All those who got the brown paws version were put into a drawing & one winner from each Kitamura store a few times each week.

The most recent is the red purse version. It is kind of stiff. It was another one where you had to spend 5000 yen (approx. $50 US) in order to get it.

Then there were the big huge Classics that are around 50". Each store had a couple for display and those were drawings too.

Funny thing is that they are selling for more money in Japan than the USA right now. I had a friend who was sending them over to me to trade for her and that has slowed to a trickle.

Interesting, I thought the pink paws would be rarer because pink looks odd on the puppy and normally odd coloring on a particular variation of a beanie makes it rarer. I am thinking of buying the brown paw version sometime, but I do not know how rare there are. Are they like as rare as White Starlight or rarer like Dusty the Cubs Game bear rare?

IMHO it is harder to find than both Dusty (10,000 produced) and White Starlight.

One hint, if you are a non-smoker please ask if it smells like smoke. Many Japanese smoke. Plus, smoking wasn't banned in Japanese malls until last year. I've had many Japanese items that reek of it.

Bah, I was hoping it would be more common than that, but after looking on Ebay, I knew it was going to be very rare. As for smoking, I do not want anything reeking of smoke so I would ask for this item, though I have no idea how popular cigarettes are over there.

Also, do you know what Senna Kun means in Japanese?
